The word legend is often cast around in the world of electronic music. Occasionally though it seems like just the right word to use. DJ Bone is steeped in Detroit history, and is amongst the most technically accomplished techno DJs in the world. His passion and his unique skill shine through in everything he does and has earned him his place amongst Techno royalty and and as an inspiration to a younger generation of DJs.

Bone rose through the Detroit ranks via his weekly sets at the Love Club (The Shelter) where his techno selections earned him the kind of dedicated following DJs only dream about. At one point he had so many residencies at different clubs in the Motor City he was playing five nights a week, rubbing shoulders behind the decks with everyone from Juan Atkins to Jeff Mills. He is the boss of two of Detroit’s most rarefied labels, and has shown an unwavering commitment to his cause through his own output as a producer, releasing an album, Out Of Nowhere and a whole bunch of raw 12″s and EPs.

He's playing at Good Room for the first time on 08.17 where he'll be joined by locals techno twins Analog Soul. Jackie Sommer and DatKat explore the deeper, darker sounds of house, Detroit techno, acid, dub and electronica.

Sofia Kourtesis is headlining the Bad Room. The Berlin-based producer reinterprets sounds of modern electronic by channeling elements of barraging tech-house, dream-pop, new wave, and more. What Kourtesis offers is a spellbinding auditory experience that falls somewhere between the minimal sounds of Aphex Twin and mystifying ambiance of Jai Paul. She will be joined by Brooklyn's M Parent who is known for his experimentation between breakbeat, acid and emotion.
