You don't want to miss Giant Step's next monthly party on at Le Bain on the 18th floor of The Standard Hotel. We have a very special listening party and DJ set from longtime Giant Step friend and world famous producer as half of Masters at Work and Nuyorican Soul: Louie Vega.

In 1997, Giant Step's famous launch party at Supper Club NY celebrated the release of the now legendary Nuyorican Soul album on Giant Step Records. Now Louie will unveil his forthcoming album, Elements Of Life: The Eclipse (out in October), during the opening listening session at Le Bain - a unique experience of the album that Vega considers to be his best work to date and his first since Elements Of Life Extensions in 2005. It will be followed by a special, all night DJ set within the musical landscape of Vega.

Our previous parties at Le Bain have witnessed legendary DJs Dennis Ferrer, Danny Krivit, Rich Medina, and DJ Spinna play amazing sets. From the Latin influences that shaped the early stages of his career, through his inspired partnership with Kenny 'Dope' Gonzalez as Master at Work, to his winning a Grammy in 2006, Louie Vega is one of the true pioneers of House music. He is the Miles Davis of dance music. Like the impossible to categorize Davis, Vega is constantly reinventing himself; and revolutionizing the musical landscape in the process. During his nearly two-decade long career, Vega has crafted some of the most ground-breaking singles in dance music history ("The Nervous Track", "It's Alright, I Feel It" and "You Can Do It"), kick started genres like soulful house ("Beautiful People," "I Get Lifted"), and revitalized the careers of legends like Roy Ayers, George Benson and Tito Puente.
