The Mayday 'rave' concept first began back in Germany in 1991. After captivating the Belgian public in 1993 as a guest DJ at club Cherry Moon, Maximilian Lenz (DJ/producer Westbam) -- one of the driving forces and co-founders of Mayday -- and the management of Cherry Moon later came up with the idea of launching the world-famous Mayday concept in Belgium. After the huge success of the 2004 event, Mayday Belgium will once again return to Flanders Expo in 2005 for another day of Mayday mayhem!
