Mr.C (Superfreq, The Shamens)
To say that Mr.C is one of the most iconic DJs in the world would be an understatement. He’s the DJ who coined the term tech-house, frontman of the 90s rave pop band The Shamen and is the founder of Superfreq label and parties.

It all started when he was 16 years old and began MCing in London clubs. After gaining notoriety on a number of radio stations, including the then pirate radio station KISS FM, he recorded his first house track with Eddie Richards as Myster-E which was released in August 1987. This inspired Mr.C to become a DJ to learn more about his beloved House and Techno music so in late '87 he took to the decks. He held residencies at many clubs in London for over a decade, held down a weekly radio show called Future Music with Kiss 100FM in London from 1993-2002 & has presented TV shows for MTV, FH1, VIVA & BBC.

Mr.C is founder & owner of Plink Plonk records, cofounder of End Recordings & founder & co-owner of the Superfreq label, which is now releasing music prolifically. Mr.C has recorded under the names, Myster-E, Unity 2, Nu Jacks, Bass Bureau, The Shamen, Mantrac, Somnambulist, Animus Amour, Killer Loop, Mr.C & Tom Parris, Mr.C & 16B, Sycophant Slags, Indigo Kidz & East LA Tek. Mr.C is best known as frontman, songwriter and producer of the pop group The Shamen with whom he notched up a string of top 10 hits including ‘Move Any Mountain’, ‘Love Sex Intelligence’ and ‘Boss Drum’.

In 2013, Mr.C released his long awaited Mr.C album Smell The Coffee and has worked extensively in the studio since then. His Illusion EP as Mr.C was released in April and his new collaboration EP with Dance Spirit was release in June, with more solo work to come.

Now living LA, Mr C’s Superfreq has established itself as a community for music lovers. He holds a bimonthly residency in London, including biannual gigs at Fabric, pop up events in LA, plus regular events in France, Miami, Mexico and Brooklyn. It has accomplished seven successful seasons in Ibiza and hosts annual events at BPM Festival in Playa Del Carmen as well as hosting events at Burning Man and ADE this year.

TAIMUR & FAHAD (Blk|Market Membership)
As mainstays of New York’s underground house and techno scene since they began in 2006, Blk|Market Membership and its residents Taimur Agha & Fahad Halder have been instrumental in building the rapidly growing New York dance community to where it now stands. They initially met through a mutual friend after having already separately witnessed many of the premier residencies of late ‘90s’ and early 2000s NYC in its famed clubs, including Sasha & Digweed’s legendary stint at Twilo and the equally renown era of Danny Tenaglia and Deep Dish at Vinyl. Following the dissolution of much of the club scene post 9/11 and its retreat to the underground, the pair enthusiastically pursued it while working on their own musical ideas, and when Bill Patrick, Nick Ac, and Dennis Rodgers parted ways after their run with ROBOTS, they handed the torch to Taimur & Fahad to become the new leading lights of a re-established dance culture that would take the city into its next nightlife era.

Tanjarine's broad understanding of music has crafted a sound of dance music that is funky, intellectual-- and always sensual. With a residency at Beefcuts, an important underground party in New York City that showcases avant-garde, established locals, and innovative DJ performances; For the Fools, a bi-monthly warehouse loft event and a resident of DEEPCITY, a monthly burning man festival-inspired event: Tanja's rapidly growing contributions to the dance music community is a testament to her depth of talent and creative professionalism.
