Something Special is happening FRIDAY 28th FEB - Changing it up from our usual Saturday night fun times this time we're doing something extra special on a Friday night.

For this very special edition we have a very special secret international guest coming to play for a special 3 hour set.... the one & only Eelke Kleijn!

We have a long history for the tall man of melodies with our original party; SHRUG (that eventually became Something Else) hosting Eelke on his first ever gig in Australia back in 2013.

Eelke Kleijn (NL)

The fact that Eelke Kleijn DJs in his socks and produces in a standing position tells you a lot about what you need to know about him. He never feels more at home than when he’s behind the decks, and there’s no separation between the booth, his studio and the dancefloor. This natural air that he brings to all facets of his music is something that’s reflected in its organic feel, and it has helped his creative identity to shine in a crowded scene.

His latest artist album, Moments Of Clarity, is the apex of his work so far, blending progressive, ambient, epic breakbeat, deep house and melodic techno in perfect harmony to create an album that is as at home on the dancefloor as it is on the home stereo. It features the soaring track 1,000 Lights, which was originally composed as part of a 670 drone art piece at Burning Man 2018 in memory of festival founder, Larry Harvey. The reactions when he opened his set with it on the Mayan Warrior art car suggested he was onto something special that would form one of the pinnacles of this stunning LP.

DAYS like NIGHTS is becoming an increasingly important part of what he does. The label has mainly provided an outlet for his own creations, but has supported some of his other favourite artists along the way and will soon expand its roster to help bring through more exciting new talent. His weekly global radio show and podcast goes from strength to strength, bringing the sound of his mesmerising DJ sets to new audiences across the world. The parties — thus far including an event at the world-renowned ADE — combine his love of emotive dancefloor music with stunning locations to provide a truly immersive experience. These different elements all combine to realise his vision as an artist and curator, helping fans to come closer still to his musical world.

Fede Batista (Pecudet)

Federico Batista is a DJ from the Argentinian underground Techno Scene and now Sydney resident.

His music is notable for its versatility, its innovation and its energy. From tribal sounds mixed with conga to dark techno, through acid house, Fede Batista has been quite a few years In the booth, bringing sheer enjoyment to the audience.

Nowadays he' s settled in Sydney where he's a resident DJ for Pecudet and is pushing a sound heavily focused on groove laden medodic vibes.

Mesan

No stranger for those who've been following Something Else, and our previous incaratons as La Famiglia and ever further back in the Shrug days, the lovely duo Mesan.

The duo have been active in the Sydney scene almost 10 years including a 3 and a half year residency at the SLYFOX (Foxlife) playing alongside artists, Nico Stojan, Gorge, Christian Burkhardt, Nima Gorji, Tim Englehardt, and more. Along with being a regular at the ever expanding S.A.S.H, Mesan has supported the likes of Sasha, Guy J, Robert Babicz, Eelke Kleijn, Oliver Schories, to name a few that would be aligned with the vibe of this event....

After playing everywhere & anywhere in Sydney we are super excited to have Mesan playing their first set at Something Else Club 77

Rounding out this special line up is a very special new name, and new dj playing his first official DJ set out in a club. A master of the kick on set, and lover of all things deep and proggy. ADMG will set the tone for a very special night. will set the tone for a very special night.
