Providing memories, emotions and happiness with his sets and productions were the main factors that motivated Softmal to enter the world of electronic music. Music is the engine that moves his soul and life, since childhood, since the artist was lucky to be born in a family passionate about this art and appreciative of styles such as Disco, Soul, Rock, Samba and MPB. At this time he got his first vinyl of Michael Jackson's "Bad" album, which since then has become his greatest idol and musical influence.
But the inspirations that led the carioca to embark on this universe do not stop there. Raised in the United States until the end of 1993, House Music and Hip Hop also presented themselves early in his life, bringing a latent passion. But it was only a few years after his return to Brazil, in 1999, that Dance Music became the focus of his dedication. Living in São Paulo, he started in the music production in the Video Game Playstation 1 of the game MTV Music Generator.
Since then, more than two decades of a consolidated career have passed, which led him to fill his resume with remarkable moments. The list of achievements and highlights is long, such as supports from renowned names, two of which are very special and remarkable: Fatboy Slim, who has already included two of his tracks in his setlist, and Carl Cox, playing "Mykonos", partnership of the artist with LLølita and Lucenamusic, in the iconic Brighton i360; reaching Beatport's Top 1 with six different tracks, as well as appearing in the platform's Best Sellers lists in the years 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Still talking about charts, the Brazilian can be proud of having led Beatstats for over 15 months, ahead of major players such as David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Vintage Culture, and Alok. And the success of his productions is not limited to this platform. On Spotify, Softmal's tracks have already made their way into the viral hits selections in Germany, New Zealand, and Austria.
