Benjamin, known as Soul of Zoo, is a French DJ and producer whose work moves fluidly across genres, blending organic textures with electronic soundscapes.

Now based in Canada since 2016, he has developed a distinctive artistic voice rooted in exploration, emotion, and connection.

As a self-producing artist, he approaches music as both a craft and a personal journey.

His compositions aim to go beyond the dancefloor, offering spaces for reflection, healing, and shared experience. His sound is characterized by rich grooves, subtle cultural influences, and a constant search for balance between the natural and the electronic.

Over the years, he has released music on Montreal-based labels such as Frooogs Records, Cosmovision Records, Saisons, and Plaisir Sonores, alongside international imprints like Pipe & Pochet and Sounds of Khemit.

His work has led to meaningful collaborations, including being invited by Guy Laliberté to contribute to PY1 Nights and participate in The Frog Collective, where he worked alongside musicians from Hans Zimmer’s orchestra and artists like Dominique Fils-Aimé.

Following this experience, he became a resident artist for Frooogs Records and contributed remixes for Cirque du Soleil.

His journey has since taken him to renowned venues in Montreal and international stages, while his music has been remixed and supported by respected artists including Afrojack, Bedouin, Louie Vega, Sebastien Leger, Iorie, FKA Mash...

Deeply connected to the local community, and after receiving a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts, Soul of Zoo is now preparing the release of his first album, Connection, with Cosmovision Records (1st may 2026)

The album celebrates collaboration, diversity, and the universal language of music, bringing together outstanding musicians based in Canada.
